Thursday 30 November, Friday 1 & Saturday 2 December - The Ucheldre Rep presents Duets

Duets by Peter Quilter. Tom Wallwork directs this award-winning comedy with four separate stories: Blind Date; Secretarial Skills; The Holiday and Bride-to-Be.

Sunday 3 December – Royal Welsh College Big Band: Duke Ellington's Nutcracker Suite

You'd be hard pressed to find a Big Band as swinging, as entertaining and versatile as the Royal Welsh College Big Band under the directorship of Robert 'Teddy' Smith.
Join them this Christmas for American pianist, composer and bandleader Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn's jazz interpretation of Tchaikovsky's the Nutcracker Suite. Also in the programme some of RWCMD's greatest jazz divas recreate some of Ella Fitzgerald's winter classics such as Winter Wonderland, Let It Snow and The Christmas Song.

Tuesday 5 December – ROH Ballet Live Broadcast: Christmas Classic The Nutcracker

Join the young Clara as she is swept off on a magical adventure through the Land of Snow to the Kingdom of Sweets, where the Sugar Plum Fairy greets her. The perfect Christmas entertainment, with Tchaikovsky's sumptuous, sugar-spun music the most recognizable of all ballet scores.

Broadcast live from The Bridge Theatre, London, Rory Kinnear is Marx and Oliver Chris is Engels, in this new comedy directed by Nicholas Hytner and written by Richard Bean and Clive Coleman.

The Winging Way of Words - As the days shorten towards the longest night, the winter solstice, we'll explore, via poems, myths, stories and writing, ways to embrace winter darkness and bring new light to hidden places. No special experience or skills are necessary. Just come as you are!
